The four things a blog usually needs to disclose
Blogs look simple but tend to collect data in four places at once: analytics, comments, an email list, and monetisation. Each has its own disclosure. Comment forms in particular store an email address and an IP address, and spam filters send that data to a third party.
- Analytics provider and whether IP addresses are anonymised
- Comment form fields, spam filtering, and how long comments stay
- Newsletter provider, consent, and unsubscribe
- Ad networks or affiliate links, plus the disclosure they require
