Apple's App Store Review Guidelines (5.1.1) and Google Play's User Data Policy both require every app to link to a privacy policy. Our generator produces a policy that satisfies Apple's privacy nutrition labels and Google's Data Safety section.

App store requirements are stricter than the law

Both stores block submission without a reachable privacy policy URL, and both ask you to declare data collection separately: Apple through Privacy Nutrition Labels in App Store Connect, Google through the Data Safety form in Play Console. Your policy and those declarations must agree — a mismatch is a frequent cause of review rejection and later removal.

Work from your SDK list. Analytics, crash reporting, ad mediation and attribution SDKs each collect something, and identifiers such as IDFA or the Android advertising ID count as personal data in the EU and California.

Keeping the policy and the store labels in sync

Treat the Nutrition Label and Data Safety form as generated from the same source of truth as your policy. When you add an SDK, update all three in the same release. Note the date you last reviewed it so you can show a regulator or reviewer that the document tracks the app.
